The ultimate goal of our Center of Excellence in Skeletal Disorders and Enzyme Reaction Mechanism is to foster interdisciplinary and collaborative works that lead to facilitate the understanding of skeletal biology, the discovery of disease mechanism and the effect of cannabinoid compounds on anti-inflammatory effect in osteoblasts. Our group will provide the expertise, state-of-the-art resources, and the training necessary to promote cutting edge skeletal and enzyme mechanistic study research.
วัตถุประสงค์เชิงกลยุทธ์
1. Characterization of skeletal phenotype in genetically modified mice and pathophysiology of osteoporosis and periodontitis and treatment.
2. To study the immune responses in diseases related to bone and joints eg. osteoarthritis and the immune role of chondrocytes, which are target cells for destruction in certain joint diseases
3. To study the method for optimization of condition for high yield of expression of Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA) synthase in yeast system and inhibition of THCA on anti-inflammatory effect in osteoblasts
